So the waiting for the return of sports begins. Actually WWE never left. The health of the wrestlers is unimportant to them and their wrestlers are classed as independent contractors.
Now on to real sports. I think that NASCAR will be back the soonest. Their largest revenue comes from the TV networks and they are owned by one group (France family) who must be starting to really hurt financially. I think as soon as they can solve the health issues for race teams they will be back running at empty tracks (I will refrain from any snide remarks about their trending in this direction anyway!).
MLB will be back in action in the not too distant future as well. I like their plan to have two leagues (Florida- and Arizona-based) and run games all day every day. With only three air-conditioned stadiums (Phoenix, Miami and St. Petersburg) the lads will be sweating it out. But we will be able to manage our fantasy teams and bet on games, so there is that.
As far as NHL hockey and NBA basketball goes, I really doubt they will be back before the fall. The NFL season will begin on time, mark my words! Stay safe. Stay home!
