Sports Sort of Back to Normal

Well who would have thought that MLB would make it all the way through the World Series with only minor issues?  Either they were very careful or very lucky!  I really liked the novel elements of the 2020 season, especially the universal DH (FINALLY), the seven inning doubleheader games and the base runner on second to start extra innings.  The one thing I really hated was the lack of spectators most of the year (although that had to be).  How on earth did MLB avoid a major breakout of COVID?  Look at US college football right now, it is a trainwreck getting worse as the cancelled games pile up.

Also kudos to NASCAR for completing their season.  Lack of spectators really hurt their product, although excluding the season’s best driver (Harvick) from the championship was pretty stupid too.  Sometime in the near future I will write about everything wrong with NASCAR, but it be a very long post.

The NFL season is well past the half way point and it looks like they just might get their season in as well.  I hope so because one of my fantasy teams is doing really well!  Again I don’t know how they are doing it with all the families, coaching staffs, etc. involved.
